On 20-22 March 2024, the European Forum for Urban Security (Efus) – partner of INDEED – organises the 8th Security, Democracy & Cities conference in Brussels, Belgium.

Organized every three years, this year in partnership with safe.brussels, the event brings together over 100 speakers and 800 participants from 150 cities and regions in Europe and beyond. It offers a unique occasion to join high-level roundtables, workshops, networking opportunities and field visits, and fosters exchanges and mutual learning in the field of urban security and crime prevention.

The European Forum for Urban Security (Efus) is the only European network dedicated to fostering discussion, cooperation and support among local and regional authorities in the field of crime prevention and urban security. Founded in 1987, it brings together nearly 250 cities and regions from 17 countries. Recognised for its expertise by national and European institutions, Efus represents the diversity of territories and promotes the exchange of experience between local and regional authorities beyond political affiliations, according to the principle of ‘cities helping cities’.
